Overview
This guide explains how to manage product promotion on eBay through Droopify. You will learn how to promote individual items and understand the key values that influence costs and profits. The instructions are designed to be simple and straightforward, allowing anyone to make the best use of the available features.
How to Promote a Listing
To promote a listing from your inventory, you need to press the green button with the chart icon, visible on the right side of the listing.
After pressing the button, a confirmation panel will appear.
Through the confirmation panel, you can choose between two distinct types of promotions:
- Fixed: where you will need to choose the promotion percentage.
- Dynamic: where you will need to choose the maximum promotion percentage and the maximum adjustment percentage.
After clicking the "Confirm" button, a green tag will appear under the listing title indicating the promotion percentage applied to the product.
Note:
You can only promote a listing a few minutes after it has been published.
If you try to activate the promotion immediately after publishing, an error will appear. This is not a malfunction: simply wait a few minutes.
Fixed Promotions
Fixed promotions are the simplest and fastest way to give more visibility to your products.
With this type of promotion, you only need to enter the promotion percentage.
If you sell the product through the promoted listing, eBay will deduct the set percentage from the sale price.
Note:
With promotions managed by Droopify, you will never pay any fee to eBay if the product is not sold or if it is sold without a promoted listing.
Droopify manages exclusively performance-based promotions, where the seller pays a fee only if the customer completes the purchase.
Dynamic Promotions
Dynamic promotions offer a higher level of control and optimization.
You can define a minimum and maximum range (for example 2% – 8%) and every day the promotion percentage will vary based on eBay’s recommendations for that product or category.
Additionally, you can enable the Adjustment Percentage feature, which allows eBay to temporarily exceed the maximum limit if it believes an increase could lead to a sale.
For example, with a range of 2% – 8% and an adjustment percentage of 2%, the promotion could go up to 10%.
Note:
With promotions managed by Droopify, you will never pay any fee to eBay if the product is not sold or if it is sold without a promoted listing.
