What is a Template

An eBay description template is a pre-designed HTML structure that defines the style and layout of a product’s description page.
It concerns only the Description section that appears on the product page on eBay.

The template acts as a graphic frame in which the descriptive text and any additional product details are inserted. It may contain CSS and HTML to give listings a professional and uniform appearance.

Main Features

  • Ensures visual consistency across all products (colors, fonts, logos, recurring sections).
  • Supports text content, additional images, tables, and icons.
  • Prevents the need to manually write each description from scratch: the template remains the same while only variable content (title, features, specific images) changes.

Templates Page Overview

The template page is divided into two main areas:

  1. Top Bar
Displays the list of already available templates and provides the option to add new ones via the + Import Template button.

  2. Bottom Section
Allows you to view the preview of the selected template and the associated HTML code, so you can easily review or modify it.

How to Add/Create a New Template

By pressing the + Import Template button in the top bar, a panel opens offering 5 free templates provided by Droopify.

Other Actions Available on the Templates Page

In addition to creating new templates, the page allows you to:

  • Edit a template already available using the pencil icon.
  • Delete a template that is no longer needed using the trash icon.

Note:
If you don’t have any templates available, when you import a draft on eBay no template will be applied. In this case, only the product description will be displayed, without any graphic customization.

Conclusion

Managing templates on Droopify is an essential tool to ensure consistency, professionalism, and speed in creating eBay listings. Thanks to the import, preview, edit, and delete features, you can maintain a uniform style across all product pages, optimizing management time and improving listing presentation.
