Which Cancellation Method to Select

During cancellation, you can choose between three methods, which correspond to those available on eBay:

Cancellation MethodDescriptionUsage Tips
Issues with the addressThis is the most commonly used reason. It does not involve fees or penalties from eBay. Use it if you cannot ship to the buyer’s address (e.g., location not covered by the supplier).Strongly recommended as the first choice.
Buyer asked to cancelUse only if the customer has actually requested the cancellation.Do not overuse this reason: the customer might dispute it on eBay claiming they did not request the cancellation.
Item out of stock or another problemImplies that the responsibility is yours. eBay does not refund the fees. Not recommended: better to use “Issues with the address.”

Important Notes

  • It is always advisable to avoid cancelling orders, as these actions may penalize your eBay account.
  • Use cancellation only when strictly necessary.
  • Prefer the reasons “Issues with the address” or “The buyer asked to cancel”: in these cases, eBay refunds the order fees.
  • If you have already cancelled the order directly on eBay, don’t worry: still cancel the order on Droopify by selecting the same reason. Droopify will automatically detect the cancellation on eBay and link it to the corresponding order.

Conclusion

This guide has shown you how to properly handle the cancellation of an order on Droopify so that it is synchronized with eBay. Choosing the correct method allows you to minimize penalties and optimize the management of your orders, keeping your account efficient and safe.
