Overview
The section dedicated to sponsorship management allows you to quickly remove an active sponsor from a listing in your inventory.
This process is useful to stop promoting a product when you no longer want it to be advertised through sponsored campaigns.
The procedure is simple, guided by a clear interface, and comes with a confirmation system to avoid accidental removals.
How to Remove the Sponsor from a Listing
To remove the sponsor from a listing in your inventory, you need to use the green button with the stop icon, visible on the right side of the listing.
This button is available only when the listing is currently sponsored. If the listing is not sponsored, the button to activate the product sponsorship will be displayed instead.
After pressing the button, a confirmation panel will appear. By confirming the action, the sponsor will be permanently removed from the listing.
Note:
In rare cases, even after removing the sponsor, a product may still be sold as sponsored.
This behavior does not indicate any malfunction of the software: eBay records users’ actions. If a customer previously opened the sponsored listing, the platform may still attribute the sale to the sponsored campaign, even days later.
Conclusion
Removing the sponsor from a listing is a simple and safe operation that allows you to independently manage the promotion of your products.
The confirmation system reduces the risk of mistakes and, thanks to the integration with eBay’s logic, ensures consistent sales behavior even in the presence of past events.
